After COVID-19 postponed our series of public health meetings, California Division of Geologic Energy Management (CalGEM) resumes community input with digital options. Deadline to submit comments is also extended to June 10, 2020.
Online Community Events
With social distancing in mind, three online public health meetings are scheduled. Mark your calendars for:
- May 20: This meeting will be in English, and focused on the Los Angeles region.
- May 28: Held in Spanish, attendees across the state are welcome.
- June 2: Also in English and for a statewide audience.
Visit conservation.ca.gov/publichealth for full details and registration.
We recommend registering for the meeting you’d like to attend. Upon registration, you’ll receive a call-in number and link to join online. If you are unable to register, you can still attend by calling in.
Each meeting will start with brief introduction, followed by opportunity for participants to have two minutes to express their comments on the proposed public health rulemaking.
Can’t Make a Virtual Meeting?
Our public health rulemaking page outlines additional digital channels to submit comments, such as an online survey, anonymous polling, email, and list serv sign up.
Keep an eye on conservation.ca.gov/publichealth for the latest details on public health meetings and the rulemaking itself. We hope to hear from you.
